So will your ear always look that way? Or does it go back to looking normal once it drains?

As an aside, recommendations on good headgear are appreciated. My asics suck and slide over my ear, folding it and making the whole problem worse. My wife's starting to bitch at me about it (on top of the fact I get home at 915pm most nights) and I've had about 3ccs of fluid drained from my ear over the last few weeks.

Depends on severity. I'm guessing I'm screwed in this case. Other times I've been fine.

I second the massage before and after practice. I don't get the ce but the bottom of the lob tears about once a week.

Query based on earlier inferences:
If you do a style in which no one ever gets ce, can it reasonably be considered "Martial"?

I think that consistently broken/sprained toes might be a good indication as well, that's my problem anyway.

I'm waiting for the CE to strike teh Camus, but I assume it might take awhile as I have insanely small and soft ears, like any good ****** should. :homo:

I doubt there are a lot of sprained toes in boxing.

There is no true bullshido litmus test, besides the actual ability to fight.
While there is some truth to your hypothesis, its basically flawed. Yes, CE shows that there are signs of contact and injury occuring to the person. But that doesn't mean i have CE, i do an art that is non bullshido. I could do a BS art and take some rough sports, possibly giving me CE. Does that suddenly make the art i learnt non BS?
