Rorion, Rickson & Royler at a Judo Club in 1987
It took a long time for me to believe that I may have found a video that everyone hasn't seen a million times(at least a relevant and interesting one). But I found this one on someone's hard drive with DC++. Besides being a great snapshot of BJJ history it is also darn funny. I put it on Google video and it just went live.
One thing of note is Royler useing the Gracie Gift on one of the Judo guys, this may put doubt on the theory that they knew it was crap and taught it to keep the edge with the Gracies. But Royler might have thought "no way is this Judo guy gunna Triangle me". Interesting tidbit.
Edit: Here is link if that doesn't work. Piz Doff

I've read about this before, never seen it...funny they never put it in the GJJ "In Action" videos, hehe.

So 3 Gracies walk into a judo dojo- stop me if you've heard this one before....
Way better than the other "Gracies visit a dojo" video out there.

It's funny the way the Judo instructor talks about Rickson needing to do more standup, because it's so true, but I bet very few people have ever said that to Rickson's face...and lived!

You could see it too...Rickson is not an invincible grappling deity, he's just really good...and not at every part of fighting.

Ummm, if that's Hayward Nishioka, Rickson is sparring with, I can see how he's getting manhandled.
