Jesus, what a couple of fucking pussies! Kyokushin my ass! Must have been a mail-order belt. The other fag couldn't kick worth a ****, even by TKD standards.

what does it mean that you do "interpretive karate?"

I've always wondered that since you're obviously a Kyokushin practitioner. Are you simply referring to Kyokushin or your interpretation of it or something?

Does that include off-balance round kicks with awful timing? :laughing7

I think that's where they pretend to find "grappling" bunkai "hidden" within those dances called kata.
Either that, or he's one of those rare karateka who's talented enough to realise that even KK can't be taken at face value, like admitting that kata suck hairy San Francisco bath house asshole.

It's actually a joke I have with a friend of mine.People assume alot of things because KK looks traditional or because it dissallows face punching in tournaments.
(Read my article i wrote about my speculations if your all curious
    ).
But quite simply 'Interpretive Karate' is the joke that most people don't want to take KK at face value.Or the fact that a no-face-puching-in-KK thread comes every 6 months. So the joke is that people will want to interpret whatever they wish no matter how much you explain to them that they don't know enough about other forms of fighting to souldn't bash it.

They assume from their 1 year of Super-Kickboxing class at their local gym that they have learnt an all-emcompassing system.Putting on a head gear and getting love taps from a temp-secretrary who trains once a week because she read in Esquire that Kickboxing is the best training workout to keep your waist slim.

If you haven't noticed but I tend to not get into TKD or Kung-fu bashing threads because I haven't been exposed to it in sparring to give my opinions.

BTW .I don't give a **** about the bunkai because I can I ditermine for myself what a Master was praticing 300 years ago on a hill-top in Okinawa.I think that's just silly.

Don't worry, I have a healthy respect for Kyokushin Karate ever since I witnessed a bareknuckle KK match. :)
