    Manfredo dismantles Pemberton!
By Billy "Loops" Luppert at ringside
Contender runnerup Peter Manfredo Jr (25-3, 11 KOs) moved up to super middleweight and scored an impressive third round knockout over recent title challenger Scott Pemberton (29-5, 24 KOs) Monday night at the Dunkin Donuts Center, Providence, Rhode Island. Manfredo dominated the bout, dropping Pemberton twice in the third round before the bout was stopped at 2:06 by referee Dick Flaherty

Manfredo looked pretty good in his KO win over Pemperton. Pemberton is a tough fighter. I wasn't a huge fan of the show, I thought it was ok. But if it gives Boxing some good publicity and helps some fighters receive exposure, than its good for boxing.

They need to televise these fights or at least make them downloadable.

The fight was televised on ESPN2 on monday night. Season 2 of "the contender" was picked by ESPN and will be airing on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN-DEPORTES some time this spring. Alot of hardcore fans don't like the show, they say its corny commercialism of Boxing. I say whatever attracts more fans. Boxing needs it.

**** yes, especially the heavyweights. Why does it seem like all but like 6 of the heavyweights in boxing/mma/whatever just SUCK?
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

Name 6 heavyweight boxers that currently box that don't suck. Here's the really difficult part, it doesn't count if they were good previously.
    I can't think of 2.
