Pankration is much better amatuer MMA. You still can't hit in the face, but at least you can use knees and elbows.

I don't know ICY, I think the light head contact is a good thing. They're only beginners after all. Hell my tournament doesn't even allow for that.

I think it should be NO head contact as opposed to LIGHT contact. Because "light" contact turns into intentional accidents.

On the other hand, when I first started doing MA, I would fight other amatuers at 100% contact, everywhere, with everything, and I never got seriously injured...so, I dunno, I think it would be fine to have a full contact to the head division and a no contact to the head division.
