Sorry man, I'm pretty sure that was a roundhouse kick coming at between 30-45 degrees, but a roundhouse nonetheless. Look at the way the leg moves from the knee down. The upper body wasn't turned into it at all, but I've seen people (TKD and non-TKD alike) do roundhouses that way. If you freeze-frame the video, the foot is sideways rather than up-and-down on impact.
