So, upon landing, my weight goes forward to my lead leg. It's not a drastic shift, but maybe 60-40. Since I drop my center of gravity a little, I don't feel tippy in the slightest, and am prepared to throw a second power punch with my left. Hook or bolo punch usually.
What he said also. my coach always says "in a good stance, you can sit and throw every punch all day long from any angle and not be off balance". I practice a 1-3-4-3(body) combo and it's a good balance challange and pretty effective as well.

Don't have to worry much about sweeps or kicks in boxing. :karated:

Dead on. Spelling it out it'd be: left jab - left hook (body) - right upper - left hook (head). Then either jab out or right cross or roll or whatever.

I slip left after the jab so my hook comes up at an angle. This is aiming to hit just under the ribs and push up for the liver. Then your position is usually perfect to throw an uppercut to the solar plexus (or a straight depending on distance) and then the hook to the chin.

Bah, I always thought 3 was lead hook, 4 was rear hook.

    Then again, I don't box.

There isn't really a rear hook, though at my old school the overhand right was labeled as 6

Especially in boxing, my weight's on my lead foot as I like fighting from a crouch.

And we did the same at my gym, KS, a 6 for a right hook.

I do more of a 60/40, like Ryno was saying as well. But I may go to that 100/0 in the picture attached, though.
