A response because I'm still enough of an optimist deep down to hope you're serious.

To change your style: Click on User Control Panel on the far right of the textbar up top below the adverts. Click on Edit Profile on the sidebar on the left. Scroll down to "Primary Style" and enter your style in the box.

And why some styles get more stick than others round here: styles which tend to incorporate hard sparring as part of their training usually approximate fighting rather better than styles that essentially teach choreography. Striker's tag (a.k.a. point sparring) falls somewhere inbetween the two.

Hence, styles such as boxing, sambo etc are mostly very well respected, and while occasionally someone in a similar art will lightly bash a hard-sparring art for some lack or other (e.g. boxing's lack of kicks and knees, or sambo's lack of chokes) no-one would be daft enough to suggest that the person training in it should be doing something else. Styles in which most schools focus on choreography or slappy happy light taps are usually casually abominated here, even though there may be a rare school or two somewhere that teaches the style as a fighting art, because most people's experience of such arts is uniformly negative. People who come here and ask about good places to train in a choreography-based style are likely to be urged to take up a more effective one.

I have not done iron palm personally but no alot of people in my school have and i guess it only hurts for about the first month or so. I have hit the bag that definatly hurts especially the backhand. I do feel though that iron palm doesnt guarantee you anything, you must be able to hit someone with it before it can be effective.

If you hurt yourself while striking a bag, you are doing something wrong.
Consider the nature of the movement, the striking surface of the hand or foot, and the proper angle at which to deliver the attack to your target.
If you are still injuring yourself, you may want to take up a sport that focuses less on striking.

you are hitting a bag of lead shot that doesnt feel good if you are hitting the bag and it doesnt hurt you are doing something wrong. I think it depends on what your doing the training for, if you want to break it is a good program but for fighting yeah its going to do more damage than a regular person without the training but you still need to connect that stike and alot of mistakes people make is they have iron palm so they think they can use it but if your hitting a bag all day doesnt mean you can connect on an opponent
