In any case the clip is not "sparring" in the "Bullshido.com Approved Book Of Martial Arts Training Methods (TM)", it's a drill/experiment with limited purpose and needs to be put in a specific training context.

I unfortunately do not have video of the sessions but I have had the honour of working out on many occasions with a friend who is a 2nd BB in Yoseikan Aikido, and who lived in the dojo and trained with Minoru Mochizuki for about 7 years.
Definitely not indicative of my opinion of the people doing Aikiki type work the Yoseikan guys can fight. Their ground work is sophisticated and thorough, the throws are impressive and the overall combat ability is very high. So even within the thorns of Aikido I believe there exists one small area of effective and coherent training. -
