I like Cro Cop. He just wasn't into that fight. It's like watching the Honeymooners.

The randleman crocop was my choice, esp as I hadn't seen it (even though it was somewhat old) and was watching with friends who knew even less about MMA and I was like "yeah, crocop is gonna handle this guy unless he takes him down, you'll see" and then I had to eat my words right after. Painful even though I don't really like crocop.

Couture/Belfort shocked and disappointed me. Belfort has been a disappointment ever since. Especially the time he lost to Chuck and I had to give myself a swirlie...screw Belfort.

Due to the pre-fight conditions: Randleman over CC. I gave him no chance at all.
Due to the in-fight conditions: Elvis over Sak. Elvis was getting dominated. There was no chance in hell he was going to win with his nervous boxing and futile guardpulling, and then BAM. He gets the knee and then goes absolutely crazy flailing those "hammer strikes" at Saku's back. Probably the most unexpected comeback I've seen. While there have probably been guys that have come back from even worse beatings than Elvis did (I'm thinking Hughes/Trigg, Nog/CC, Nog/Sapp and Royce/Severn) all of the eventual winners were incredible fighters, while Elvis isn''t even average in PRIDE.I pointed at him [the panhandler], bringing my rear hand up in a subtle approximation of the double Wu Sau guard that is the default hand position in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
"Step away," I hissed.

Royce Gracie versus everyone in UFC 1, 2, and 3.

Were there expectations at that time? I mean besides the general notion that the win usually goes to the bigger man?
