I had a conversation with Karate master Nishime about this once. this Ki striking busniness. He said there were probably less than 4 people in the world that could do this. He said it was real, but not usefull for fighting. He said a lot of people have "proven" this ability over the years, but he laughed about it. He told me of one master I can't remeber wich one...Itosu or chojin...does not matter. At any rate he claimed he could do this and would prove it on a bull and not a willing partner. The oposition said fine you do it with my bull. The master agreed and said it would take 3 months to train for it. Well long story short, he broke into the barn every night, walked over to the bull pen, made a noise and poked the bull in the nose with a needle. When the day came, everyone turned out to see if he could do it. He enterd the pen, pointed, made a "chi" noise...and the bull screamed and ran. proving his "chi" strike could work on a bull. Nishime said he had never seen a real chi strike. only tricks. I do not know why he said there were a few that could do it. he never went into it...he also did not say why it was not usefull for fighting. He said punching is usefull for fighting.

Crap like this is fascinating to me....the same way in which reverend Jim Jones and the Poeples Temple is fascinating from a mass psycosis perspective.
