Why do TKDers fall down all the time? Most of the kicks MISS and the pple end up on the ground. GREAT FIGHTING STRATEGY!!! :rolleyes:

That's a generalization about players falling all the time. Tehre are alot of matches out there where this doesn't happen at all.
New rules have been institued in WTF that if you fall after a kick intentionally, the points don't score... cause the ruleset previously had nothing to say about this tactic. But yeah... it is pretty cheap if it is done. -

So lets see his mother was a ProWreslter his father was a Pro Boxer.Benny Urquidez has a spanish and native american blackfoot ancestry. His mother Lupe was a professional wrestler in the 1940´s, and his father a professional boxer.
He studied for ed Parker, Tak Kubota, Bill Ryusaki and Clarence Akuda.
He fought for a team called "Los Angeles Stars" sponsored by Elvis Presley!!
He studied under Ed Parker (American Kenpo), Taky Kubota (Karate), Bill Ryusaki (Kenpo or Kenpo Karate as they call it), Clarence Akuda (Karate). Hmmm where is the TKD? Benny called his system UKIDOKAN KARATE.
Lastly at Benny's Gym they do NOT teach TKD.
American Kickboxing was pioneered in 1969 it was developed by KARATEKA not TKD . KICKBOXING itself started in JAPAN by one of Mas Oyama's students who fough in Thai land. He came back and established the sport format of KICKBOXING (muay thai with now elbows or knees) in the mid 60's. TKD's influence 0!
