ATA Karate kwon Do!?

I was going to Subway to get myself a Bacon Chicken Ranch sandwich (Their best sandwich. Anybody who says otherwise is a terrorist.) when I saw this sign and I HAD to take a picture.

I was thinking to myself, "??? ATA Karate? WTF, Matey?"

So I walked under the overhang and this was draped above my head like a glorious Harley made of solid gold wanting to be ridden with nuns riding bitch.

My brain exploded and I dropped my Motley Crew lunchbox full of sticky buns on the ground as I ran back out and looked at the ATA Karate sign. Then I came to the window and saw this in all it's patriotic majesty.

Then there was this:

That's right, a pile of rubber chaku sticks on their front windows, showing their awesomeness in all its glory. And then finally if all this weren't bad enough, I found this little gem:

That's right, 7th degree ATA KARATE KWON DO BLACK BELTS!!!!!1111oneonelevenewtfbbq! MAKE FRIENDS BITCH! OR I'LL KILL YOUR MOM!

Lol, we have one of those here in my town. Huge gigantic sign says karate. Little placard on the window says ATA taekwondo. I'll have to take a pic of it and post it up. A friend of mine stopped in their dojo and asked what style of karate they taught. The instructor honestly answered "We don't, we teach taekwondo" Gotta love it.

alot of places that do TKD in mn just have Karate signs becuase alot of people dont know what TKD is, but its still stupid.

Did they have a huge banner over the front door or in the window that says (in equally huge letters):

"1 Million Lives Changed."

The school by where I live has this.

And I think the grilled chicken sandwich is better. Commie.

My newphew has a patch on his gi that says karate for kids, but yets its ATA. I always laugh at that when I see him.

When I first started MA waaaaaaay back when I was 7 I took TKD for 2 years at a place called Robert's Karate. Though to their defense even though they had kids their they gave us no room for goofing off. The instructors were all military guys and it was held at a National Guard post. Granted that still doesn't excuse calling it Karate.

I have to agree here. I personally think he's not a commie though for like the chicken bacon ranch. I'd say he's more of a Fascist!!

This is why I love TKD chicks. They are cute and stupid. But more stupid than anything else. Seriously. More stupid than rocks.

I know a group of girls that all started taking "karate" and they all had to tell me about it because I'm the little kung-fu guy or some ****. Anyway, it's happened about 3 times where I've asked what style of "karate" they take, and I ask if it's Goji Ryu, Isshin Ryu, Shotokan. And they all say the same thing:

"It's like, tik, waaaah, te? karate?"

"What?" I ponder, as I grow even more confused.

"Tayka? Twoi kin? Du Do?"

"Do you mean Tae Kwon Do?"

"Yeah! That's it! I take Karate Tae KuWando!"

"Um... Tae Kwon Do isn't karate."

"Sure it is. We learn to kick and chop people."

"Um, but karate is a specific martial art that comes from Okinawa Japan. Tae Kwon Do comes from Korea. Not all martial arts are karate."

"Sure they are, like the Krotty Kid movie. That's what we learn."

"But not all martial arts are karate. Is boxing karate?"

"They don't kick in boxing or chop, so it's not a martial art."

This is where I start pondering how I should throw them into a triangle choke or something and see if they can "chop" their way out of it. Better yet, I need to learn how to triangle myself. Anyway, at this point they always try to show me their stuff, which by god, is even more embarassing than their explanations. I really need a video of those girls, who seem to be aching to have themselves killed (or possibly bred, but not with their own permission).
