When I was like 10 I used to think I wanted to study Shaolin Kung Fu and Shotokan Karate. This was because I thought Kung Fu: The Legend Continues and Street Fighter II (Ken, Ryu, and Akuma) were the ****.

When I was 16, I started powerlifting and decided that being huge was the best way to be able to beat people up. At least all the strength training I did from 16-20 has made me strong like ox and big like bull.

At 17 I used to argue with my friend that Jet Li could kick Jackie Chan's ass because he was super fast and ultra bad ass.

By the time I was 20, I had gotten bored of powerlifting and took Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu my first summer home from college with two of my best friends. From there, I started watching UFC and Pride.

After taking BJJ for awhile, I decided Judo wasn't any good and just silly. This was based on me knowing precisely nothing about Judo. My opinion on that subject has reversed itself, as I now happen to think that Judo is pretty fucking good.

I guess I used to be full of ****, but at least I was lucky that I never spouted off about it for the world to hear or got any pictures taken of me breaking boards.

Last night I found my "Student of the Month" certificate from my old mcdojo. None of you will get to see it since it joined my mcdojo gi and belt in a sealed chamber more than a kilometer underground.

    Disclaimer:
Any alleged relevant evidence of bullshido on my part,
if any, has only been preserved in b&w 8mm reel to reel,
and, thus has no place in today's digital society. . .

Fortunately for me, my bullshido was confined to the days when home videos were recorded on VHS tapes in camcorders that weighed about ten pounds. Those videos are long gone.

These days, I suck because I suck. No excuses, unfortunately. And no videos either just yet.
