I thought the artcle did a pretty good job showing the actual realities of the situation the kids are exploited to a degree but fighting is a better option than anything else the could do

You have to wonder if the kids grow out of that to be great fighters, or all messed up. Still, I wonder how a 10yo blackbelt would do in the ring with one of them.

Ive spent some time in Thailand. If you arent born into a family with a little bit of money your future is kind of bleak. If you are a guy your career will be either taxi driver or Muay Thai fighter.If your a girl well the future looks even more bleak.

Ive watched those low level muay thai matches at the open air bars in Pattaya and those cats kick the **** out of each other.From what i have seen personally the rules are more like loosely adhered to guidelines.The ten count was kind of more like wait and see if he gets up for more.Good times.

The article is removed but the fight is Burmese boxing, not Muay Thai. Similar except there are less rules and they don't use gloves. The Burmese are even poorer than the Thais.
