    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    February Maryland TD

I thought we should get the date down for the next one.

I cannot make it on the 26th (last sunday of Feb.)

    I can make it on the 5th, 12th, or 19th.(first 3 sundays)

    I vote for the 5th.

Good move Kikkoman ... way to keep the ball rolling.

I think we're going to have a tight and seasoned group to take on the Atlanta TD Crew this Summer.

I'm on for the 19th as well. I'll do some knife if there is a training blade available. Could just leave my dagger in the sheath but I'm always concerned it might fly off at a bad time.

I'm also interested in rolling and learning some more of the ground game if anyone is up for working with me.

JFS what do you think about those shock knives? They are supposed to hurt like hell 7500 volts adjustable down to whatever. The idea is that it lets you know for sure when you get hit and it gives you feedback via a nasty ass shock. If this is something we could use then i ll buy a set.

Personally I do knife sparring fairly often. Wooden knives leave a nice bruise you know when you get hit. However, the shock knives are better, but not worth their $900 price tag.

I think they are great and it really becomes a question of whether or not they will be used enough to justify the purchase cost. I'll teach the Souther Praying Mantis quick kill system to any and all that want to learn it. I don't value knife fighting as fencing since I've never encountered it in real World playing that way. However, if some peeps want to go that route that's their business. Plenty of room for variation in approaches.

I think Tomas and someone else has the First Pass on the SPM knife thing ... two more Passes to go and each is equally quick to teach ... 15 - 20 minutes tops.

Want to put up a Poll to see what the interest level is for monthly TD knife fighting? If people vote they'll do it then they need to stick with it and not bag out after getting burned a few times ... pain is part of the game. Might want to make the Poll public so their feet are held to the fire. I'm in.

Probably "true" but he likes all the toys and has quite a few from what little I've seen.

Bruises take time to appear ... juice is on you right then and there. Besides, it sounds kind of "over the top" and that's our reputation ... empty, trap laden buildings, outside in the backyard ... electric charged knives ... it works.

EDIT: Just thought of it ... what a great addition to the Summer MMTD event. The Press will eat it up ... and we'll all ready be conditioned to the shock ... unlike those we sucker ... er ... con ... nope, not right either ... "convince" to knife fight with us.

We should pass the hat each TD and offset the cost of the knives if Groundcontrolba fronts the money to purchase them.
