    Again, I'm old skool.

When I was kid, suits moved from 3 buttons to 2.

    I've been there ever since.

4 button is alright if you can pull it off.
    5 button is too much.

And forget double breasted these days all together IMO.
I have actually just started wearing double-breasted again after a 3-year hiatus.

I feel that this time is right.

Dress fashion, what little of it exists, I can pull off. As far as sports go, I always look like the retarded immigrant from Asscrackylvania, I never look fashionable playing sports. On wednesday I rolled in shorts from wal-mart and an old nirvana t-shirt with a rip under the right armpit.

btw, if you can't do the whole "go to thailand" thing, the next-best thing is ravistailor.

Little known fact. google ravistailor. Yeah, I know, they don't look impressive as a site (although the more astute amongst you will think "hey, that's surprisingly featureful for a suit company running out of thailand"). But their suits do, I have 2 suits from them, my dad has three, grandad has 1, some of my friends have also now used him, all positive reviews from people who know suits. They have you take digital pictures of yourself and very specific measurements, and they are very good at this.

I only reccomend them for people who are looking to buy a suit that would normally retail for around $1k or so and want to cut that in half, and furthermore NEED a non-rack suit. If you're of a regular enough build, rack suits out there WILL fit you and in that case there are even cheaper sources out there. But if you need something of really high quality tailored and can't wait for your next trip out of the US to a country that the Gloobal Economy is making love to, ravistailor. Good ****.

All of my suits except 1 are tailored, approximately half from Ecuador and half from Thailand. Global economy plus plus!
When I wear suits - work, weddings and funerals.

The brands I currently have are:
Roberto Villini, Kilburne & Finch, Bill Blass, Jones New York.
I also have one custom made suit that I'm too fat to fit in right now.

Also, I know it's out of style, but I have a double-breasted Hugo Boss suit, and I'm probably never going to own another suit made out of such nice wool, so I still like it.
Well, Hugo Boss rules! One of my favorites. I only have 1 HB shirt ATM.
