Pretty needless piece of legislation isn't it? I mean, I'm sure I'd have heard of it if there'd been a huge number of katana-slayings in GB. Same with the shuriken media ban.

Swedes are considering banning hard contact MA too. I believe it owes to a recent series of MMA-critical news articles in the papers as well as young MAers beating people up for no reason.

The Express & Echo in Exeter is calling for samurai swords to be banned, after a local man was stabbed to death in the street.

The Exeter Express & Echo running a campaign hardly makes this a proposed national banning.
