It doesn't specify in the rules. And there's no sparring/competition videos as of now.

People: Believe it or not, that's not the dumbest thing he has said in his 4 posts here. Check out his other three. There's at least one dumber.

    Edit: Martialfiend, not Cdnronin.

Damn i shouldnt have posted that **** before.....

Anyway, i heard some stuff on MAP that some TKD schools use bobbing and weaving and hooks and other boxing methods into thier training.

Is this an association thing or just certain schools?

Hee Il Cho was a boxer before he learned TKD. They've mixed in concepts from Judo, boxing, and BJJ while retaining a traditional TKD base. His people have fought in knockdown Kyokushin tournaments and placed.

Good thing you qualified that comment, or I would have had to send Iranian ninjerettes to hunt you down. But I'm not sure how well they would blend in your neighbourhood. Maybe you could move to a desert for their benefit? They're much deadly in their home environment.

In my Tae Kwon Do dojang we practice alot of boxing combos. Were Chung Do Kwan though. Way different from olympic style. I sparred with an olympic style fighter and his kicks weren't too powerful. He got confused when I threw a few punches at him. At my dojang we kick for speed but we rotate the hip for power unlike the olympic style.. no tapping. But yeah that one guy is right.. Pro TKD is going in a good direction to clean up the garbage that the olympic style offers.

I thought Chung Do Kwan tournaments were non-contact though?
