    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Postal Match I. Deadline 2-16-06

    Here are the rules.

    -Semi auto pistol
    -9mm Luger, .357 Sig, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .45 GAP, 10mm, .44 Mag, .50 AE
-Factory ammo (Mr. Mantis). Use expensive stuff if you want, but I'm going with the cheap crap (i.e. Blazer, Wolf...whatever I have at the time).

Target: White 8x11 piece of paper. Orient the paper so it's taller than it is wider and affix it in the center of a large "man size" target. I don't know the exact dimensions of said target, but the point of this is to account for rounds which miss the white piece of paper entirely (Like I'm sure some of mine will). If you'd use your own material which would serve the same purpose, that's fine too.

You need two magagzines for reloads.

    Shooting:

Set 1: 4 rounds, drop mag, reload, 4 rounds from 15 feet
Set 2: 6 rounds, drop mag, reload, 6 rounds from 21 feet
Set 3: 7 rounds, drop mag, reload, 7 rounds, from 35 feet
Set 4: 8 rounds, drop mag, reload, 8 rounds from 50 feet

    Scoring/protocol:
    -50 rounds, 2 points each = 100 total points.
-No time limit, but you can NOT put the gun down (i.e. to rest) in the middle of a given set. I want to make it combat-esque while accounting for goofy indoor range restrictions.
-All rounds not hitting the white paper count negatively.
-Grazing the paper counts as a hit no matter how little.
-You can draw whatever you want on the paper (bullseyes, highlighted areas...whatever)

Like I said, the purpose of the addition of the large backer is to account for rounds which miss the paper plate entirely. If rounds do miss the paper, honestly account for them when you send in your 8x11 target. Do NOT include the large target.

Send your target to me, and include a note with how many (if any) missed the white paper. Include make, model, and caliber of pistol; and brand o' ammo. I will then scan them, host them, and post them. Oh, and use a manila envelope. Don't be folding your targets up. I want these to look tidy and uniform (which is why I personally would like to scan them the first time around).

If there is a tie, in that, more than one person has no misses, I will measure the single gaping hole to see who has the smallest group.

Absoloute deadline for entries is February 16th.

    PM me for my address.

And I'll only be giving out my address at my discretion. No offense if you're snubbed. Most of you need not worry.

I'm in. I am waaaaaay overdue at the range.

    I'll be using a Springfield 1911-A1 .45ACP

I'll be using expensive* factory ammo.

It would be awsome if you shoot with that. Your wrist might hurt after 50 though.

I have not forgotten - I was actually thinking about it about an hour ago. I plan on going this weekend, maybe tommorrow.
