97E's working in a Strategic Unit are filling an N7 slot. If you don't know what that is, don't worry about it. Ask someone in your unit. The school for the N7 position is really good to have under your belt if you want to continue working in the HUMINT field after you get out of the military.

Details are still sketchy, but it appears that there was a fatality in the Combatives program this week, reportedly from a blow to the back of the head causing swelling. My prayers are with the family and also with Larson and crew as they go into this trying time.

Yes there was a death at the Combatives school house. It was a Warrant Officer who caught an uppercut and hit his head on the floor. His brain swelled and he passed away. He was wearing protective gear (mouthpeice, and headgear) so it was just a very unfortunate and sad event.

Naw don't do that to yourself. Civilians can go through the course too. We've ceritified several here and Bull is level 3 certified. You just have to hook up with the right pple.

Can you elaborateon that? It sounds like an interesting and definitely worthwhile program to go through. Are there places that will teach anybody or is it just about knowing the right people?

The combatives program at fort Riley is run through a ocal community college, so level one is available to all. Levels two and three could be had if you made some friends during level one who might be willing to hook you up.
