about to begin kenpo(maybe) nick cerios schools good?

no idea what to think anymore after all the reading i did today online, from styles to instructors to this and that im tired and it is kind of putting me off to say F it!!!

is nick cerio someone who is known and is his style a decent one to learn kenpo?

kenpo had me from jeff speakman in the perfect weapon and i know he trained in ed parkers system

but any info would be greatly appreciated , i need to know soon because its really starting to turn me off of martial arts schools

i read kempo and kenpo are the same just a typo as it was originally kempo but they ddidnt wanna change it....

Ask them what they emphasise on, do they spar? What is their position on kata? Do they compete in point sparring or full contact/kickboxing competions?

what about the name NICK CERIO?the teachers at the school have trained under him and are listed on the nick cerio site as under his lineage....

also is 85$ alot per month ???

i have so many questions its crazy but would rather get info here than ask there seeing how people can be shady when they own a business

Can you get a straight answer about costs?
Can you pay on a monthly basis?
Is there transparency about what is taught to the higher belts?
Is the founder/master regardeda regular human being, as opposed to a supernatural dynamo?
Is there regular hard-contact (not point) sparring?
Do they acknowledge that they're not as good at groundfighting as any specialist?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, then **** it.

from what i seen, i sat for a beginner class, there were 3 active teachers on the floor for the 5 students in the adult class....beginning started off with some loosening up, they used forearm attacks kicks and punches on the heavy bags that u can move around....then there was hands on 2 to 3 move combos , they were paired up....they ended with some form for like 5 min and that was it, the owner was nice as can be, he or his wife said they would answer any ques, the other teachers even talked a lil to me while the session was in progress, the longest people that were there were orange belts and that was at a years worth of training...the owner told me they dont really want to focus on belt ranking because "real training begins at the black belt ranking" overall great attitudes and a good envirornment, 100$ to register and 85$ per month....

they also offer judo and jui jitsu programs, kids programs and cardio kickboxing....

what does this sound like?

also NICK CERIO!!!! the name a good indicator its good?
