I have an inquiry regarding Abel.
Has anyone issued a challenge, documented the responses, and proven that he deserves the title of Capn Dicktuck? It seems like the "Bullshido scientific method" would apply.
I've seen the video of his fight and his pics with the 70's Action Theater poses. He clearly lost the fight, but I've seen worse performances. Whatever.
I've read his name calling, boasts and sophomoric "nanny nanny boo boo" responses to the various threads that he engages in. Whatever.
I see the way that he aggravates and provokes many of the folks that he interacts with. Whatever.
Is it legit BS practice to issue a challenge, properly document, and incentivise a meeting? If he ducks, or intentionally spoils or negates the challenge; ban/Dicktuck tag. If he meets the challenge and performs on video and according to a pre-set and agreed upon criterium - give the guy a "backs it up" tag. I would be willing to contribute a little bit of my (limited) money to cover some of the expense related to such an event.
Seems that by and large this site holds members and non-members alike accountable for their martial arts related claims. With him specifically there seems to be a lot of excuses, almost-but-not-quite-formal challenges, and near misses. That seems incongruous with the logic centrifuge that is typically applied by BS members to separate layers of truth and bullshit from one another. There appears to be a reasonable method and guidelines which protect both sides from undue legal action and inaccurate claims. Many of the regular posters here seem to be competitive, outspoken, and willing to prove their mettle in TD formats and some in more rigorous competition. Is there a realistic way that all parties can acheive what they seem to desire and claim to be willing to back up?
If this has been done / proposed already please forgive the noob-factor - he has almost 5,000 posts, and I just can't sort through so much.
Abel - No offense to you personally. I don't know you, but you sure seem to be a provocateur, and you seem to enjoy that status. You appear to be very proficient at just dodging or sliding by "challenges" on technicalities that you create or by some incredible turns of fortune. What I am proposing is an opportunity for you to once and for all, with evidence, and by the standards of this board, state your claims and un-sully your name. You clearly have reason to engage here - your self-googling indicates that you are concerned with what others will find when they consider your claims personally or professionally. And your claims of superior knowledge and skill are some of the more long-term and boastful ones made in this format. Based on that, it seems that this would appeal to you.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.

Bah - the whole thread is ego food for him. As are the umpteen others that he's contributed to in his special way. I'm asking if there's way to end the drama by Bullshido standards. I unsubscribe from any thread that he enters into by virtue of it becoming a shitpile of insults, character assassination, threats and insinuations. Pretty much every time. And SOME of them are actually interesting up till his input.
Sorry about the dick-title. I'll re-read the rules.
Hole in one.

Its funny how clueless noobies comment on what they know nothing about and negelct what is relatively recent history.
I fought Anthony.
p.s. I can't help it if people don't show up. And there have been several. In fact, the OP is one of them.

You showed up ONCE. After you changed the date and venue several times to try and duck. Of course, while you did show up ONCE, you've ducked at least a half-dozen other fights.
And those duckings are documented and sourced on your Wiki page.

1bad65's note on the Wiki page cleared things up for me.
I did not realize the extent to which his failures had been documented.
I'll continue to unsubscribe and ignore when he posts.
