Maryland Summer Muther Mega TD

Okay Atlanta ... let's start putting this thing together for real. 5 - 6 months out is not too early to get this thing rolling.

Groundcontrolba has set up the Maryland TD Crew with a great place and in speaking with the guys running it they can reserve the whole school for us if we give them about 4 weeks notice.

So ... let's get the logistical crap front loaded as much as possible with the understanding that glitches do occur.

From the Atlanta side of the house the following information would be a good start:

1. How many are planning on attending;
2. How many require pick up at the Airport, Train Station, Bus Station, whatever ...;
3. How many need to be set up with a place to stay during this thing;
4. Rough in the weight numbers, e.g., how many peeps range 150 - 170 ... something like that;
5. Are we setting up a "one size fits all" rules format or are folks content to craft their own arrangements with their MD counter-part;
6. Who is video taping and with what type of recording gear.

If Atlanta would respond to this first and then others outside the area who are planning or wanting to make the event post up after ... that would be great.

Kidspatula and AnnaTrocity if you two are coming as part of the Atlanta Crew you can post up as such.

I am in. Whether or not I need pickup depends on if I split a car/room with someone. I will be about 180 and will do whatever.

I will be there. Probably at 185 lbs. I will almost certainly need pickup and lodging, although the KC crew can probably split a hotel room.

I, however was born and raised in Connecticut, so please do not refer to me as an "Atlanta" guy.

For format considerations, I am all about training with random wieghts and random styles, under random restrictions (versatility is the result of adversity). So I don't care who I roll with, or what rulesets we use. I'm flexible like that. Just lookin' forward to good training.

I plan on being there too, especially if Scrapper can arrange a flight!

Edit: I have video equipment too, unless someone has better stuff.

Thanks for breaking the ice on this thing. You are on a few threads ... any chance of you honchoing the other locals to get on here and post up?

The Summer will come up fast and given all the variables I really think that now is the time to start getting this thing firmed up.

Agreed. I'd like to see this one go down clean and professional-like as well. Maybe look to some local instructors for demos, etc.?

I hope to make it. Barring any screwjob my calendar might bring. I'll be driving, and will most likely want a hotel room. It would be nice if we can get a package contract worked out at a nice hotel for the lot of us. Block off a floor, negotiate us a good rate, etc.

Anyone else interested in going from NY metro area to MD TD?

I would probably be 155~165 lb...maybe even lighter.

Way cool, Phrost ... you are cordially invited as an Honored Guest ... ditto for JKDChick if she chooses to attend. If any of the other Bullshido Staffers plan on attending just let me know.

You and I might want to coordinate a bit on the Press coverage thing. Seems you should have something in the can to hand to whomever shows to cover the event.

I'm extending invites to the Baltimore City Paper, the Baltimore Sun, 97.9 Radio (Rock mostly), the Towson University Radio Station, and probably one of the larger local Public TV Stations, maybe Channel 54 as I know the station manager. I'll need some "filler" information from you to go as an attachment to the afore-mentioned invite letter.

Let me know your thoughts on this and the sooner the better.
