Kuksool "ground fighting" is the standard "ho shin sool" bs found in many TKD and HKD schools, is not trained in any sort of alive fashion, and will likely get you eaten alive by someone who does. In fact, if you want real Korean grappling, try your Kuksool in the ring against Ssireum. It'd be funny to watch.

But please, tell us more of this "Kuksool groundfighting".

Kung fu has not developed the same level of proficiency in those kicks as the TKD community has. I have learned both TKD and Kung fu in my own personal JKD concepts of kuk sool won. There is no comparison. Taekwondo is an extremely dangerous (albiet sportive) style that devilvers enough kicking power to overwhelm a kung fu stylist. [QUOTE=Pagan]

What style of kung fu did you learn, because this tells me you have little to no knowledge of any sort of Northern Long Fist kicking, or hell, even Sanshou. Thank you, Mr. Troll.

Your own personal JKD concepts...who was your JKD coach?!?

Sigh...KONG SOO! (Korean for Gong Sau). Come to a MD Throwdown or the MegaThrowdown this summer. You and I can meet up, have a nice discussion on the history of the TKMA (which, BTW, was my senior college thesis), and then after I have schooled you intellectually, you are welcome to feel what little understanding I have of the KMA. :spam4:

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?!?

I'll say it slowly for you...you...are...a...fucking...idiot... :englishmo

For the kazabillionth time...say it with me boys and girls...TAEKWONDO IS NOT A KUKSOOL ART!!! NOT NOT NOT!!! You have little understanding of the art you profess to study, even less of other Korean arts, and no understanding of reality!!!

The mainstay of KS is Korean for practicality and effectiveness?!? WTF does that mean?!?

Seriously, come to a Throwdown. Get on the mat. Learn.

    Until then, STFU.
