There you go a quote from shuaichiao.com disregarding people like you saying how he was not appointed and all the other **** people talk. I suggest you take this up with him since he really doesnt know anything anyway you should be able to take him right?
yes that is a warning sign alright... it should serve as a warning sign to students within that organization that there is major b.s. going on... only b.s. artists need to 'defend themselves' with dire warnings to their detractors on their websites. this should be an obvious red flag that it is a sketchy organization. look around and see what other types of 'masters' put such statements on their websites. of course none of them ever actually come out and 'settle' anything or fight anyone.

You still have not answered where you get your info so I consider everything you have said to be bullshit until you can state where your info is coming from.

I guess we will see when I have to fight again in a full contact situation what happens to me. If I get my ass kicked fine ill take it and maybe Ill join something else until then I will train how I wish and you may do so too. I appreciate people who are giving me info to try and help, I was actually planning on getting into some bjj on the side because I respect it and think its a good art, plus I could get some good sparring in there, but you never know who actually who is trained in good bjj or who is trying to just make money off what the Gracie family built.

Sure you do. The good BJJ schools compete (and win). See? Easy.

I guess that is true but I have seen karate schools that have trophies all over the place and watched them, but was not impressed at all. I guess it if you see where there winning at.

Admission to that list is purely political.

This is not true. Look at the potential instructor's and/or his students competition record. One of the main strengths of Bjj is in the importance ascribed to competing at local, state and national tournaments. If they don't compete or only compete with sister schools do not train there. If they have a good record at sanctioned tournaments, it's probably a good place to train.

One of the other important thing to do when looking for a place to train is go watch a class. Would you feel comfortable training there? Is the instructor a good teacher? Who teaches class most often? The primary instructor or one of his subordinates? Are the students training hard or just trying to hurt each other? Finally, and most importantly, do they spar in a fully resistant manner? These are some of the questions to ask yourself when looking for any MA school.

Damn I'm a slow typist, Locu5 beat me to it.

D has teh correct. Admission is all about who you know, not what you can do.

that makes sense from both of you thanks. And as for the black belt hof being purely political thats b.s. You mean to tell me that everyone in the not even just my teacher got in not based on skill that is real dumb. I mean what do you need to get in legitimatly besides being awarded black belts instructor of the year, one of the only martial artist around still trained in Iron vest, iron palm and poison hand, being president of ISCA and only 10th degree black belt in shuai chiao, 6th degree black belt in karate, ability to break through 8 blocks standing straight up not hitting them down, and not to mention 60 years of training along with many other things I could mention. Sounds all political to me too
