Upa...we're talking about Australia here, not a civilized country, he'd probably be fine with Krav in the blue division.

Man, here, they have novice, intermediate, and advanced...that's it. And there's almost never anyone in the intermediate, so it's really just novice or black belt.

Are you serious? The Machado tournament coming up only has White/Blue/Purple.....
I was like er.....so they only have a purple and up division and there are a lot of good purple/browns at my school.
I mean hell, it's basically sand bagging if some great Jiu Jitsu guys come in and start competing with the purples.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

carbon, what belt are you?
I am planning to go to the Machado tournament in Feb. my first tournament.
perhaps i will get to see you there.
what weight? maybe we'll roll. iv only done BJJ twice a week, one hour for 5 months, so im really in need to get some experience in. edit: i also snag anyone i can after class to roll with. being my kickboxing class or my jiu jitsu class.
I go to Marquez Jiu Jitsu. its a small group, in Grand prairie.
Edit: my profile was designed to piss people off, so don't mind it.

I am a white belt. I used to go for about a year, and I took about a year and a half break. So now I am back after only 3 weeks.
I am decent, and I do get worked over alot, but it is coming back. I just need to get my conditioning up a little bit.
I will be competing in the Super Heavy, which fucking sucks. Since I hate wrestling these huge mother fuckers that land on me and crack my ribs.
Anyways, hopefully I'll eventually get down to around 210 and I can compete in the heavyweight, but for now this will have to do.
Also, this will be my first tournament. I don't expect much from it, and I am already nervous. lol.

oh, wow, im like 145, so im gonna have to deal with the speedy guys. why take such a long time off?
- do you know a big guy named Craig? big black dude. goes to my school now.

Nah, I don't know him. I took time off for god knows why. I was in school and ended up going to another gym and I started boxing.
I realized after a year and a half that I missed wrestling. Now after tonight I have been advised against entering the competition?
He says that the weight divisions suck and I am barely over the 213 mark for heavyweight, well not barely I am around 235, but someone told me to just wait to drop down to the heavyweight.
It would make more sense, but in reality the guys in heavyweight could give me just as much trouble as the guys in super heavy. So I don't know what I am going to do.
