Definately early. Very frustrating to watch... Kid's first punch kocked him on the shoulder and he fell over. Kid got a couple of punches in on the ground and it was over... sucked. Especially since they usually let japanese fighters pummel each other into mincemeat before they stop the fight (samurai spirit and all that.)

Genki's a showman, no doubt. But if he'd have gotten down to business by then instead of dancing around like a fool, I'm sure the outcome would have been different.
Genki, you rock on the ground. And you're one of the few dudes who can be exciting while grappling.
Leave the boxing to the professionals. -

I know that, but he's way more talented as a grappler. Look at his record, for god's sake.
13-4-1, 11 submission wins, 1 decision and ONE TKO. That' it.
Besides, his kickboxing skills were NOT on display in his loss to Kid.
Here's my count, on re-watching the (short) fight.
Genki threw 10 kicks. He landed ONE. He threw two punches. ZERO landed.
Kid threw about 10 punches, ALL landed (though about 5 were when Sudo got knocked down). He threw 4 kicks, ALL landed.
Genki needs to stick to submitting people instead of dancing around like a moron. -
