You're accusing me of having a lousy sweep that I haven't even bothered to attempt in over a year, mainly because you aren't controlling your victim enough (as you would be with, say, an arm drag) and partly because it doesn't leave you with many options if you **** it up, as such not fitting into my overall game (I'm all about the options).
Hence, I couldn't care less. -

Try to reread the thread.
Here I'll walk you through it:
You: What the **** do you* mean by black belt technique
Me: I think he means his scissor sweep sucks**
*you being the guy who made the comment, not me
**By which I mean his whole game is probably ****.
Hope the astericked comments help, it's clear you're slow. -

For the record, I actually have tried your setup. I'm having more success with the grab the shoulder variation (tried it again after reading your post) of the cross-collar than I used to (duh, I'm trying it more and getting better with it). Still suck with the palms up deep collar grab one though.

I like the scissor sweep "position" quite a bit. There's regular old scissor, reverse scissor, triangles (don't do those a whole lot. goes with having short tree trunks for legs), armdrag setups, lapel chokes (that I don't use much but probably should) . . .

P.S. - I'm pretty sure they were just joking about your scissor sweep."No. Listen to me because I know what I'm talking about here." -- Hannibal -

Hung over, stuck in data migration hell (non-relational db to relational db) which needs to be completed and tested by friday. Slow is probably a good adjective for my thought processes at the moment. Fire bad, tree pretty.
