The most stable "stance" is the one where you have all your weight on one leg. . . like in that fist vidcap on the previous page. The "pidgeon toed" one. The second one is pretty dangerous as my weight is already starting to shift to the left foot and my COG is not properly centered over the rear leg. It's tipping precariously to my left-rear.

I was going to use this to start a new thread but it seems like it's in context here.
There's a nice contrast between "traditional" and CMA footwork being shown here. There's also one other thing I am especially proud of but I don't want to say untill after the clip has been properly torn apart. :blob8:

Iīve just wathced the vodeio, here are my first impressions:
-You almost gave your back to the guy a couple of times.
-You crossed your legs a couple of times too. I think most of the times you were too far to be the target of an unbalancing attack, but still... I think i understand what you were trying to achieve, that is, economize the movement you need to keep facing a moving opponent. But I think that could be accomplished without crossing your legs. Boxing matches are plenty of examples about this, how you can circle your opponent economizing the movement (that is, wasting as minimun energy as posible) without crossing your legs.
-Also, it would have been good if you had thrown a kick or two, just to see how "every step is a kick".

The guy showed up with bruises all up and down his legs and arms from out production of my last set of clips. lol.
Not only did I not throw a kick......I think I only threw maybe 2 punches. There was something going on you didn't pick up on.

Whoops. I guess I should put it back on a new thread after all. I'll tell you about that guy I am working with later. I am getting confused. Am I talking about footwork or about kicks?
Any comments on the other guy in the clip? That's what I was driving at. It's not something you could necessarily tell by looking but part of the reason I am playing the way I am is because of who he is.
