So do you think the greeks were a bunch of losers for practicing full contact fights and developing wrestling without any schools to teach them the proper technique? No, they invented the technique.
I agree that going to a school and learning would be better. But I still think this is good stuff these kids are doing. -

back to the video.... im surprised people with no training can stick it out through full contact fights like that. most would-be tough guys i seen would not be able to take real punches and such. Sure, they werent exactly great punches, but its still not something ur average joe could take standing up and still come back for more

Forget boxing and wrestling, as far as unarmed combat goes, pankration was the daddy of the Olympics.

Hmm I remember posting a vid of myself and a friend, where we both came from different MA schools. It got pretty positive feedback, but the setup was similar to the video posted in this thread (the video was strangely deleted for some reason O_o).
So why would that be? Is it only acceptable if the fighters had some skill first and THEN went and did some backyard sparring? Or should backyard sparring never be posted at all?
