    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    When does protein powder expire?

A few months ago I bought 15lbs of protein powder. Just now I got done with the 5lb package and I'm about to start the 10lb bag. I can't find an expiration date anywhere on the bag or the other package. It's Optimum Nutriotion brand, if that's important.

Did I just waste a good 50 bucks?

    Here's a more important question.

Does hot sauce actually go bad? I found some delicious habanero sauce and tried it on a few things, only to find out later that it expired five years ago. Why am I still alive?

Based on my own supply of supplements & their expiration dates, protein powder is usually good for 1-2 years.

According to my friend, hotsauce actually gets better as it gets older. His reasoning? He thinks it does, therefore it does.

Actually, I spent more than that, but for 15lbs total. How much do you spend? I tried the Costco brand for $20 and it tasted like **** straight out of a dog's ass (trust me). The extra money was WELL worth it.

First off, if you are buying "protein powder" that is composed of ingredients non-related to protien (fillers, sugars, etc..) then weight means little. Sugar is probably twice as heavy as pure whey proein for instance.

I usually buy from Vitamin World since they are almost always having a 50% off or "2 for 1" sale.

Most people eat WAY too much protein and it just ends up going down the pipes anyway.

I haven't tasted what comes out of a dog's ass so I'll just have to defer to the experts. ;)

Can't remember the sugar content, but I didn't buy a weight gainer, so it's mostly protein.

I bought from bodybuilding.com, so that's probably my mistake.

I only get about 120g of protein per day if I keep to my schedule (i.e. eat instead of saying "I'll eat later")

Like I said, it's taken me like 4 months now to finish a 5lb container.

The best way to buy is in bulk and then split it up with a freind or three:

My friends all left me for the military. The ones that didn't, are nerds. :(
