Rahman, Toney Scuffle at Cancun Resort
Tue Dec 20, 3:20 PM ET
MEXICO CITY - WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman and James Toney scuffled in a hotel hallway before a cocktail party at a Cancun resort.
Several people had to separate them, and neither boxer was hurt, WBC executive secretary Mauricio Sulaiman said.
The confrontation happened Monday at the Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa, where the WBC was holding an awards ceremony. While Toney was being interviewed by the Mexican network Television Azteca, Rahman walked by. After they made eye contact, they exchanged words and started punching each other, the WBC said in a statement.
Last month, Rahman was voted WBC champ after titleholder Vitali Klitschko retired with a knee injury. Rahman held the title briefly in 2001. The WBC ordered Rahman to meet Toney, and their promoters had until Tuesday to agree on a fight date. Otherwise, it would be put to a purse bid.

I will always love boxing, but what I am waiting for, and what I have been waiting for, for an extremely long time is a heavyweight that can fucking BOX.
I want to see a heavyweight that has decent power so he isn't a little bitch running around, but actually MOVES.
Boxes, moves and actually puts together combinations. I want to see talented fighters, not these jokes like fucking Ruiz.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

They say Jason Estrada is supposed to be that person, apparently many are predicting him to reunite all the titles and be the next undisputed champ, but we unfortunately are 3-4 years from finding out if this is true.

No kidding, they have a lot of "upcoming" prodigy's that for the most part never go anywhere.
I think we need to go into a depression and have everyone stop eating for a couple of years so we can see the hungry fighters come back to the scene.

Toney's far more skilled. He wins this one by decision.

I lost all faith in heavy weight boxing when I saw Ruiz vs Golota.

Heavyweights suck. They suck in Boxing, they suck in MMA. Are their exceptions,... yes. For the most part, they suck. In the USA our athletic big guys go into Basketball or Football.

^Yup...because where does being big and extremely athetlic come in handy? That's right folks....Football and Basketball. Want to know how much people can get paid in the NFL and NBA? Probably a **** load more than any MMA fighter, and only if you are very popular the same goes for Boxing.
It's just sad ;P The sports need to become more mainstream, that is all.
