    You dont' hop...that's the point, but you also don't stand there flat footed. You have to beable to advance and retreat very quickly, which is why fighters put their weight on the balls of their feet.

    So they are able to adjust to throw at anytime.

    Well, if I could knock down and move a guy with 2 years of experiance on me who outweighted me by 40 pounds, I would be critiqueing you guys... and yeah... I'm not a fan of the axe kick. My flexability in that direction is sorely lacking...

    what i want you to do is watch some k-1 max, and watch guys like albert kraus. and watch their feet. this is called good footwork. jumping around like a jack russell on speed, and then STOPPING, and then throwing a kick, causes me physical pain. the idea of staying on the balls of your feet is sound but the way the majority of tkders seem to go about it with the constant jumping up and down is quite simply fucking stupid.

    Yup, especially when they are on the up ascent of their hopping and get kicked.

    This is a priceless moment when the TKD stylist gets sent flying.
