To me that doesn't make sense, that is like saying bring the sidekick in at an angle. I would say, just practice your spinning back kick, that is all it takes.

    Practice, and hard work.

You should bring every strike possible in at an angle.

IE your opponent is the center of a clock, looking toward six, ideally you strike from four or five whenever possible.

Yes, but if I am standing with my right foot back and my left foot forward, and I throw a spinning backkick, how would I throw that at 4 o'clock?

Or were you just saying in general and I'm being picky?
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

Yeah.. for that last kick I threw, I came in at an angle. I'm now really just starting to get an idea of the offensive and defensive footwork from some drills we have been doing (i.e. just offence or just defence partner drills with no blocking to figure out how to evade and such).... and I had no clue before then... so I'm still a beginer in that respect...

Knowing when to go left or right can be tricky...

Alot since my last tourney in nov. I'd say at least 2 times a week... sometimes almost every class.

Umm... I've been sparring with that ref in the video (he's a yong-in guy) alot lately. We seem to get along good and he knows he can kick the **** out of me and I'll still come to class the next day... so I can really say my learning has boosted with him around cause I really don't want to get hit by him...

Err.. also, we just started doing those, offence/defence only drill which I found really get me thinking and have helped alot...

    Err... that's the long answer

    to summarize...

1 or 2 times a week, 3-4 times lately, or when tourney's are coming up (my master has said he wants to focus on sparring more this year)

Seriously, hop less; someone who is better than you may hit you while you're at the apex of your hop and you will fly away as though gravity no longer existed.

Also, don't start a combo with a turning anything.
