Like any other adult, I was plenty capable of killing someone before I took any MA. There are some pretty basic principles you don't need any MA training to use: smash their head, make holes in them, choke them, etc. That's not to mention what you could do if you walked around armed with an Elmore-esque arsenal.
I agree a good deal with Kungfools' assertion that a good deal (if not most) of MA related deaths/severeinjuries result from people fucking around in ways untrained and/or sane people probably wouldn't do.

Hell, I'm against teaching teenagers to be able to kill. No, 9 and 10 year olds should not be taught lethality. Not every effective self-defense move involves death at the end. Being taught to RUN AWAY is what they should be hearing.Monkey Ninjas! Attack!
