Well, a bit of a recovery technique from the old fat guy
Learned this one from a physioterrorist. A good technique to ease sore knees is to partially deflate a basketball (until you can grip and lift it with one hand), then do half-squats while gripping the ball between the insides of your knees.
Works excellently, even on knees like mine
