I'm told Pe de Pano finishes John Hanney with a reverse omoplata in the 2003 Pan Am.

I still think Eduardo looks like a Brazillian Mr. Bean. Please don't tell him that...I don't want to die this weekend!

You're lucky he's out of town on a ski trip. He once popped both of a karateka's arms just for making fun of his ears.

I tapped a BJJ black belt with a reverse omoplata last night.

    Just thought I'd share that.

I even set it up with my signature reverse romoplata.

The romoplata is when I escape an omoplata by rolling out of it and triangling them. The reverse romoplata is when I get a reverse triangle as they try to come to their knees.

Stepping over the head with the outside leg and hooking the arm with the inside leg?

Imagine rolling out of an omoplata.

Now imagine rolling out of an omoplata, but letting your leg closest to them trail, so that you return to guard as you roll.

Now imagine rolling with your leg trailing and catching their head and arm in your triangle as you turn into them.

    That's a romoplata.

I don't have the specifics of the reverse romoplata worked out, but I get them all the time when I'm going for a normal romoplata and they try to scramble out.
