Thats cool, I have no idea of how much training the guy had, but He was attacked by a knife weilding opponant and he not only lived, but was not cut. Good for him.

But hey, its nice you wish the bad guy had been better trained.

Dude was stupid. It's only money. Taking the pic with the cell phone camera would have done the trick without the confrontation.

Anybody who takes on a bloke who is

A) Bigger than him

B) Has a knife

and then

C) Not only doesn't get cut, but chases him off with his tail between his legs

When I worked in a gas station their was no way I would have risked getting stabbed to protect the boss’s money…especially if the robber was on his way out the door.

Lock the door, hit the panic button, and get the rest of the night off.

I think most of us would agree, its was the wrong response, he got lucky (trained MA or not), and put his life in jeapordy over some money. Whats the max that could ahve been in the register $500. Not worth my life. Especially as stated, it isn't even your money. Then to engage him after he disengages and flees. Ballsy... and stupid.

Is there anyone here who would willingly go unarmed against someone you don't know who is armed with a drawn knife if you or someone elses life isn't in imminent danger?

Glad to see he didn't get hurt, but this might set a bad example for others to follow.

I don't believe the robber had any intention of using the knife.... just a bluff... but once he disengages and flees, re-engaging him might force him to defend himself and decide he has to cut you.
