    Agreed. The first time the guy got an opponent with the vaguest clue how to escape an armbar, it all went wrong. Note that opponent no. 2 is actually turning away from the armlock instead of turning into it to escape.

    Fun fact:
    Two of the three matches I lost in my last whitebelt tournament (one in my weightclass -76kg and one semifinal in the open class) were against a guy who's been competing (and winning) in sportjujutsu events on a national level since 1998.

    This may have been disscussed in another thread, but what exactly are the rules of sport jujutsu?

    In short, judo + added newaza time and allowed submission targets + point striking. Contact level of the striking and legal targets vary. Here in Sweden it's light contact ("too hard" is penalized) and no straight punches or to the head, only weird backhand hooks and ridgehands.
