I think they are still modernizing, and moving fast too.

Wrestling is more universal since its been around since the begining of man and it's believed Ancient Egyptians practiced a sport similar to boxing.

Not the ancient text of AFRICAN MA that is older than ANY know art. China only steals and makes substandard copies.

At least OYAMA admits that Asians stole form the Africans
Sweet, I'm respecting Oyama even more and more but I wouldn't say he stole since he admited it, I would say he was inspired.

Kids as young as 10 has been fighting barefisted (or performing) in Thailand, China, and the rest of the 3rd world countries just so they can support the younger brothers and sisters at home with food on the table.

    THATS martial arts in Asia.

Yet, people from the west took the art as a hobby, and sit on their fat ass complainting which art works and what art doesn't. And dissing which art is not practical and which art is better. Having "throwdown" events so they can further analyze the differences. Or charging $150 a month to increase your Chi power. And STILL have to face to ask "Which arts would that be?"

All while the original inventor of each art just wanted to survive.

The Chinese monks fought for their lives against the government!! Kids in Thailand train so they don't end up dead in the ring (and many of them do end up dead in the ring). The Japanese invented Judo to beat Samurais in wars. While people from the west took it as a hobby and talk **** about different arts online, host "throwdowns" to test each art out. What an insult to those that depend on the art to survive.

Many from the West ask: "You mean to tell me the Chinese invented an art of fighting just so that they don't have to fight?? I think they are just cowards because they are weak."

The first thing they learn is not to be ignorant, thats for sure. But I guess the west skipped that chapter and jumped to the fighting part.

Next time you want to talk **** about an art, a teacher, a school, or martial arts in general, think about these people.

Drop the attitude and wise up.
We know many arts originated in Asia..and we know they were improved upon in other parts of the world.
We don't need a history lesson.

The Filipino guys probably learned Yaw-Yan, a kickboxing style developed in the Philippines. Kinda like Muay-Thai but apparently, there's something different in the kicks (something about being downward-cutting?). And there are grappling styles meant to counter BJJ (I haven't done grappling, so I can't really say anything). I'm not saying that kickboxing was invented in the Philippines but....:5bouncy:

Wow, times have changed on this site; I doubt we could have a conversation like this these days without someone bringing up Korea.
