I'm wondering what some of your thoughts are on this guy. I just started taking classes under one of his students in my area and I have to say it seems pretty legit as far as practicality in a street fight. I've also recently gone to a Francis Fong seminar with a couple of his students and they seemed to be known and repected among the rest of the martial arts crowd there.

I've taken other martial arts over the last 20 or so years and I've just started taking a class from one of this guy's students. I have to say I like it. He's not pushing it as some kind of ultimate fighting art or anything like that...that would probably just make me head for the door and flame him on this site. I think it's a good quality workout and I'm getting a lot out of the class. There's a lot of real world practical technique presented. Like any other art, I think it boils down to how good the teacher is at presenting the material. If you get a lot out of yours, keep going. My instructor calls the class JKD, not progressive fighting system or anything like that, but he is listed on fighting.net as one of the certified instructors.
