Consolidated Glove Thread (MMA , Boxing etc. Post all glove questions here!)

I'm in the market for some MMA gloves for training. I want something that isn't going to feel like a hammer when I get hit in the face (yes, I understand that it is still not going to feel good). So far, the most padded gloves I have seen are the shooto gloves ( http://www.sherdog.com/eshop/10Expan...roductCode=219 ). Any suggestions?

Combat Sports International MMA Training gloves. They used them on TUF2.

J-Lau's suggestion is a good one. I also like the CSI pro style grappling gloves. A bit less padding than the training gloves, but a hell of a lot more than many competition gloves. They've got a very nice feel, and good high quality foam that absorbs shock, which is good for training.

I'm using Harbringers http://www.mmauniverse.com/products/SS144 at the moment but I was thinking of making the jump to Combat sports ones. While we're on the subject what are your opinions on these shinpads http://www.combatsports.com/detail_tuf2.aspx?ID=22281 and how do they differ from these ones? http://www.mmauniverse.com/products/SS207

Great. I'll be getting the Combat Sports International Grappling Shin-Instep Guard and Combat Sports International MMA Training Gloves. For a mouthguard, I'm considering the Brain-Pad High Performance Pro Plus ( http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=22431 ).

I've got a pair of Century MMA gloves, for the price they're OK but I'm not that impressed - kinda loose for my taste.

But I got them through the local sports shop - think globally, buy locally is my motto. They were good enough to order a couple different styles and sizes, so I could try them on. Worked that way for my students as well.

So, anyway, last week I went in to see if they could order in Fairtex or Combat Sport products. Good to see that they're recommended here.

This may sound kinda odd - but does anyone know of a company that makes child-sized MMA gloves? I've got a three young scrappers training with us, and they like to mix it up a little.
