Really, you will need much, much thicker skin before you are ready. Read the site a bit before your next post. Get a grip. Go train.

That's right. But you can feel empowered by your membership, can't you?

Of course, I'm older and wiser now. I feel part of the organization I'm with, without the 'elite' falsehood.

Dreadnought, I think you may be getting me wrong... I'm just giving examples of how people can feel when they are part of a martial arts organization... I felt a sense of belonging to something truly special when I did Kung Fu as a teenager and, false or not, felt empowered at the time.

For some, this is all they require. I also think that this sort of empowerment is promoted by CMA. This is my point.

    (oh noes! Another isshinryu goon!)

Being a senior member of a forum that purports to drive the BS from martial arts, I'm surprised that you still subscribe to the ignorant notion that a particular style or lineage matters beyond the very beginning of ones martial arts life. If you train hard in the basics of any style, you already have a solid foundation. If you expand your knowledge by learning from other styles and sparring with different types of people (styles, sizes), your style becomes your own - a reflection of all the experiences and drive that you bring with it.

Ok, I'm at work, so I have a no-narrative policy. Stop trolling and insulting other members' styles unless you can back it up, if that's not too much to ask.

By what measure have you deemed yourself, a self admitted newcomer to MT, Boxing, BJJ, to have a more valid opinion than myself?

Why do you refuse to provide a reasonable argument when your beliefs/world view has been challenged? I am more than willing to challenge my own beliefs, be accepting of other opinions, and at the end of the day, learn something from it

I feel the following lyrics from Metallica is appropriate for this situation.

"They say the empty can rattles the most
The sound of your voice must soothe you
Hearing only what you want to hear
And knowing only what you’ve heard"

Yeah some wrestling will be replaced with judo soon, I haven't wrestled competively in more than 12 years.

I remember some of it, but not all, so I in no way consider myself an authoritative source on wrestling technique, however I am not a total noob to ground work.

And yet, still you cannot handle a girl talking to you on a forum. Is it that new?
