I honestly cant give a fair assement on BJJ strikes. I know we do lots of them in Japanesse. Most standing chokes we would use do not leave your face exposed to blows. you might hit a ear or the side the head but if you lock on a good choke it dont take long for it to work and them to drop. I belive Judo Gene Lebells choke on a akido guy was done standing.

Actually it's easiest when somebody is throwing haymakers. I've done it a few times in street fights. You just do a duck under, take their back (standing) and apply the RNC. I always fell back to the ground out of habit, but I probably could have stayed on my feet had I wanted to.

don't you pull the person into you for most BJJ chokes to apply the leverage, wouldn't that negate a haymaker, and most of the power in a punch the head. Serious noobie question as opposed to arguing with Jeezy
