    I have an instructional video that displays this type of footwork. I don't have access to any video editing software so that I can cut out just a clip of it, though. I will try use Windows Movie Maker on it.

    I don't think the footworks from either of these are what the kids are supposed to be doing. Still working on clipping mine.

    I'm no FMA person, so I don't know if what is being shown here is good,

    I took one class of Arnis and that is the same stuff we were doing and these kids are doing it for a black belt evaluation? That's amazing.

    As far as I know, it's to provide rotational balance so you can put more torque into your strikes. If you play a little tennis, you would know something similar to this footwork. But some FMA person might give a more/correct answer.
