Dear Jerry:
You are quite talented at avoiding the questions I ask. I have repeated the same questions multiple times and you have mostly refused to answer them or given non-answers. Quite frankly at this point I doubt your basic ability to even tell the truth. By context I mean the nature of your achievements that would support your claim to a $250 an hour fee. Do you have any that you can prove? Please write when you do.
Brash worked for Bruce Lee, I have known of many other brash martial artists who were either a lot better then they thought they were, or had important character flaws like Count Dante, ie John Keegan. It appears that we have a surplus of brash martial arts instructors in this country and lots of corresponding problems in the MA community, care to comment?
Perhaps you are looking for the word demanding, as to yourself and others. Dan Inosanto turns out some very good students, makes money and is pretty low key. Congradulations on your impending retirement, it will be good to have you out of the martial arts teaching profession. -

> no. I simply only answer the ones I feel like answering.

>Yup
Quite frankly at this point I doubt your basic ability to even tell the truth.
>what does one have to do with the other. I answer what I feel like answering.

>My clients are satisfied enough. Since I will never meet anyone on this board, including yourself, I have no compunction to support
why I deserve 250.00 an hour. All I have to do is state my fees, and get paid for my service. Anything else is moot. This is a message board, not an investigative service. I am great at what I do, I charge the rates I charge, and I get paid what I am worth. That is very upfront about all areas.

>Life is rough all over. I am about to realize the maturation of several investments, and will retire within the next few months.

>Well, we all have opinions, and we all make assumptions. Feel free to assume as much as you desire. As to whther or not I will stay out of teaching, that remains to be seen; I mean after jet setting, humvee
riding, and going on cruises to alaska and europe, I might have a need get out there and have some more fun on the mat. A person is only worth as much as they feel themselves to be. If you are content to be worth 7 or 8 dollars an hour, then good luck to you. I am worth 250 an hour until I retire. When and if I decide to grace the world of martial arts with my presence again is another adventure all together.

Okay Jerry:
on April 18, and 19th, you posted twice in nearly identical language that we were just jealous "that you are not as skilled and not as well known". You brought your own identity into issue with this comment, especially with the term "well known".
It is disingenous to make such statements and then be unwilling to answer questions directed to this topic. So when I question your honesty its not simply a matter of deciding what to answer and what not to, if you want to bring your qualifications to support your positions on this board they become relevant, and then when you refuse to respond about such matters I will question your honesty, and point out that you may not be telling the truth about other matters on this thread. -

Ya know, this thread is about brian gray and what he charges. Not about "Me" in the sense that I am merely observing that a man has a right to charge what he wants. People have a right to pay what they want. Some ask for more, like myself, and get more.
Others ask less and are content with that.
I am worth 250 an hour. Why I think that is no one's concern; the fact is that I charge what I charge, and get paid what I am worth.
I have no need to explain why I feel I am worth that amount, for to do so is to question myself. Questioning one's decisions can lead to self doubt and other negative thought-forms that I do not care to waste time on.
I am worth what I am worth, and I get paid what I am worth. The End.

You sound more like a whiney child who wishes he were a respected adult. Why are you even posting on this board? You certainly do have some serious delusions, it seems.
Maybe you should try earning respect, instead of demanding it little boy.-----------------------------------------------------

Hi Jerry:
Actually the thread started out about Brian Grey and sexual abuse. Then on April 18th "King of Fists" said $270 an hour was an outragous amount for training with anybody. Then on April 18, 2003 you wrote:
"You are just jealous that you are not as skilled, and not as well known. What is outrageous is that no name wannabes who rant and pout when someone has more skills than they do, and is able to earn a decent living off it."
Then you brought in your own "life" experiences to further your argument. If you did not want these considered you could have asked whether it would have been unfair for Bruce Lee or Ed Parker to charge $250 an hour, but you insisted on personalizing this matter so here we are.
After we argued the definition of fraud, I tried to move us to whether a martial arts teacher should ethically disclose his justification for a higher then normal fee and we ended back with your life story again. You did not simply observe that he had the right to charge what he wanted, instead you made a decision to tell us about your martial arts teaching and life philosophy so I don't see any justification for your present complaints.
As far as "The End" I am happy to continue arguing this point though I do have a backlog of built up questions that were never directly answered. The only evidence I have seen so far that you teach the martial arts is your general inflexibilty. No one must have questioned your martial arts judgment for years, either in the dojo, or in private tutoring, so you are not comfortable with the give and take of debate.
For example you could have asked "King of Fists" what he thought his favorite martial artist was worth an hour but nope its all about Jerry. -

Well said, Samuel. The general sentiment of your post is kind of what I was trying to say, but you conveyed it in a much nicer manner. I find it far too trying to be so civil with one so obviously high on himself. I'm sure you hit the nail on the head with that last bit.
