Which part was bad? He is just talking about principles and he's correct in what he's saying.

Or are you just being stereotypical wing chun.....'its not my wing chun, it must be bad wing chun'.

Not at all - I have trained in many schools of wing chun. I have seen very very good guys and very bad guys....

I have a lot of respect even for people we don't get on with, like the Samuel Kwok association or Wai Po Tan

I still feel their wing chun is good. It doesn't always matter how good you are as a practitioner but how you use it and treat it

It's basically when you grab somebody's forearm and pull it. I'll show you at the throwdown.

No, I've never seen it work against somebody who pulls their hands back to protect after they've hit you (like anybody I've seen doing a combat sport involving punching).

Funny that you mentioned it, since Wing Chun was originally taught to people who had previous fighting experience.

When I did Wing Chun I thought there what seemed like good ideas in it, but we hardly ever sparred.

The people I met who I thought could fight had all done something else first, like boxing or kickboxing, with the exception of one guy who'd just been in a lot of brawls.

I still think the system might be a useful 'add on' for people who've already learned to fight with something more mainstream first.

It'd better be a pretty damn useful 'add on' if it means slowing or stopping your 'mainstream' training.
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

the fact that wing chun suck ass is another issue.

this doesnt mean he sucks at wing chun, wing chun just sucks at him
