I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you there...

In any tournament setting, judo or bjj, the bjj player can sit down/pull guard and avoid getting thrown...
The judoka has to engage on the ground, and no matter how good his judo ground game is, he is going to be destroyed if he doesn't focus on groundfighting like the bjjer.

It does depend on the rules. AFAIK, pulling guard is already illegal in judo (or at least gives points for your opponent, since you throw yourself). Sitting down can easily be declared "passivity", which will earn the BJJ guy tons of penalties. And even if the BJJ player pulls guard successfully, the judo player only has to tuck is arms in and sit there for ten seconds or so before the standup. Doesn't take that long to learn.
There are no wrong threats, only wrong answers. (Strategy game truism)

Yeah, he didn't actually throw down with any quality judoka there. Those judoka were novices as reflected by their green belts. No offense or anything, but at that stage in the game you're not really likely to be prepared for any surprises.

Oh my freakin god. This one's even better, I hate to be an elitist here... but holy crap, this has got to be the worst throwing techniques of all time. I know it's a TKD class, but holy crap... teaching this as self defense should be illegal.

And let's not leave this one out. Just terrible. Supposedly karate or aikijutsu or something else just plain bad.

Just one more, I laughed, I cried... it's the all too painful tale of men in blue suits who find a way to work out their emotional turmoil with co-ordinated jumping... enter the savage world of "team extreme"

Don't you know that the Xtreme Martial Arts teams are feared in the hood?

    That stuff really works.

On a serious note, why the **** do they teach that ****? I mean even with a 10 second drill with some resistance would show that is going to get you hurt.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

i suppose its better than doing forms for hours on end... maybe

and as long as they are not saying they are doing "self defence" or claiming to be something they are not, i'm cool with them doing what they do

Going to a tournament and winning without breaking the rules is perfectly acceptable ESPECIALLY since BJJ IS KOSEN JUDO!!!!!
