Hahaha, this reminds me of this pic I found a while ago.

Thought it would be a good time for some knees!

    That's awesome Scrapper. Great pics.
I just got home from practice at the High School and we had a coaches meeting afterwards to decide who to send to the tournament at U.W.O. this Saturday. We decided to send mostly veterans because the competition is pretty top-notch and we don't want the rookies getting discouraged their first time out if they get whupped. So the rookies will have their first crack at a match at the dual meet next Wednesday.
Lots of fun, its great watching the kids improve and gain confidence.
We did a little king of the hill drilling for first point and I grappled with the bigger kids a bit. They tired me out pretty quickly, I manged to get through five of them before one of them scored a point on me, but I was winded..
    Anyways, cheers.

    congrats!

Im unsure of the exact rule set for this wrestling comp, but from the top picture it looks like your student is not underhooking the far arm. Which means the other kid could take his back.

Is that legal in this type of wrestling.

(I'm just making conversation not nit-picking)

    great, well done .
Even if he doesn't stay in wrestling , competitive sport at this age will set a foundation for life.

May I advice you to take the pictures away though. I have been in trouble of posting tournament pictures of my judo kids on the web without parental consent.
( And yes it was on a judo website , not what you think)
And that was much more trouble than it's worth
